Tips to Increase the Battery Life of a smartphone

Many of the smartphone comes with powerful features. The biggest disadvantages of smartphones is battery. Here are some simple tips to increase the battery life of smartphones such as Samsung Galaxy series smartphone, Nokia smartphones, Micromax Smartphones, Motorola smartphones. 
Tips to increase the battery life of the Smartphones:
Screen Brightness: Most of the smartphones comes with a light sensor which is used to automatically adjust brightness of the display. However it is highly advisable to decrease the screen brightness to the lowest possible manually to increase the battery life. The automatic settings constantly alters the brightness and that leads to higher battery consumption.Also keeping the screen timeout as short as possible to save more battery.
Wireless Connectivity: Functions such as EDGE,3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS are the most important part of a smartphone. However it is also consumes more battery.  You can disable the service when you are not using these service will boost the battery life. Even switching to 2G from 3G whenever possible will also help.
PUSH Notification: When PUSH notification service is enabled, phone constantly pings various services to check for updates. This will lead to Data connectivity or WiFi is being used constantly to check for updates. Some smartphones even play a sound and display a notification on the screen. The number of different notifications you leave on will have a direct impact on the phone's battery life.
Background Tasks: Normally, when we press the home button does not not exit the apps, it actually moves into the background.  This will help will help with quicker multitasking. However the problem here is that, the background apps consumes hardware resources(Except  iOS where the apps are completely suspended). Use Task manager to exit apps completely and give a boost to the battery life.
Haptic Feedback: Many touchscreen smartphones offer haptic feedback which is nothing but a slight vibration while typing, pressing an on-screen button or in some phones, every time the screen registers a touch. Check if you can turn this feature off or control when the vibration occurs. You can also choose to turn off the vibrate notification for calls/SMS when the ringer is on.
