Comparison between Samsung Galaxy S3 Vs HTC One X

Samsung Galaxy S3 is newly launched flagship model of Samsung. S3 comes with features such as quad core 1.4GHz processor, voice assistant and wireless charging etc. HTC One X is the first smartphone to features quad core core processor. Here is the quick comparison between HTC One X and Samsung Galaxy S3. Both Galaxy S3 and HTC One X runs on Android ICS OS.

Dimensions:

• HTC One X: 134.4 x 69.9 x 8.9 mm and weighs 130 grams
• Samsung Galaxy S3: 136.6 x 70.6 x 8.6 mm and weighs 133 g

Samsung Galaxy S3 is the slightly bigger and weighs more than HTC One X.  However Samsung Galaxy S3 is slightly thinner than HTC One X

Processor,RAM and GPU:

• HTC One X:Quad-core 1.5 GHz Nvidia Tegra 3,1GB RAM,ULP GeForce
• Samsung Galaxy S3:Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A9 Exynos 4212, 1GB,Mali-400MP

Both the smartphones has quad core processors. However HTC One X has slightly higher clock rate. According to Samsung the new Exynos Quad core processor is more power efficient.

Memory:

• HTC One X: 32 GB (26 GB user-available) storage
• Samsung Galaxy S3:16/32/64 GB storage

Samsung Galaxy S3 has the advantage here. It gives option to user to select the memory variant from 16GB to 64GB and it also support memory expansion through microSD card slot upto 64GB.  HTC One X is available in only 32GB variant and do not supports memory expansion through microSD.

Camera:

• HTC One X: 8MP rear camera and 1.3 MP front camera
• Samsung Galaxy S3: 8MP Rear camera and 1.9 MP front camera

Both the smartphones have same resolution rear camera. However S3 has more features rear camera and has better front camera.

Display:

• HTC One X: 4.7 inch Super IPS LCD2 capacitive touchscreen, 720 x 1280 pixels
• Samsung Galaxy S3: 4.8 inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen,720 x 1280 pixels

Samsung Galaxy S3 has bigger screen size. However the difference between the two very small.

Battery:

• HTC One X: Standard battery, Li-Po 1800 mAh
• Samsung Galaxy S3: Standard battery, Li-Ion 2100 mAh

Samsung Galaxy S3 has higher capacity battery and with power efficient Exynos processor it is expected to provide longer battery life.
