Samsung unveiled new Galaxy Note 10.1 Tablet at the ongoing Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. This new Tablet runs on latest Android version Ice Cream Sand witch.  Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet features 10.1 inch screen with a screen resolution of 1280*800.
This New Galaxy Tablet is a pen and touch capable series of tablet powered by dual core 1.4 GHz processor.

The New Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Tablet has good connectivity options such as support for HSPA, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi and GPS.  This Tab will shipped with a stylus or an S-Pen (Advanced smart pen) which looks similar to the one found in 5.3-inch Galaxy Note. Samsung has added Adobe Photoshop Touch and Adobe Ideas for photo editing and drawing.
In November 2011, Samsung launched its first of its kind Samsung Galaxy Note which is a hybrid between a smartphone and a tablet. Samsung Galaxy Y Pro Duos B5512 is a Android smartphone with touch and type interface. This Dual sim smartphone has Physical QWERTY keypad as well as capacitive touch screen. This QWERTY android phone supports PUSH mail with Microsoft exchange.  This phone is powered by 832 MHz processor. It has 3.15MP rear camera and 0.3 MP front camera. Samsung Omnia W I8350 and Motorola Defy plus are the two models available in the market with slight difference in price. These two smartphones runs on different OS and different manufacturer. Below is the quick comparison between Samsung Omnia W I8350 and Motorola Defy Plus.

However Omnia has Super AMOLED screen and Defy plus comes with scratch resistant Gorilla glass.  Omnia W i8350 has a screen resolution of 480 x 800 Pixels and Defy Plus has FWVGA, 480 x 854 Pixels. In this both the phones are almost equal.
Processor: Samsung Omnia features 1.4 GHz processor where as Motorola Defy plus has 1GHz processor. In this aspect Samsung windows phone has advantage over the other.
Camera: Both the smartphone feature 5 Mega pixel camera with LED flash. But only W I8350 features secondary camera. Once again Samsung phone scores more here.
Battery: Samsung Omnia W I5830 is powered Li-Ion 1500 mAh battery with rated talk time upto 14 hours on 2G and 6 hours on 3G. Motorola Defy Plus is powered by Li-Po 1650 mAh battery with talk time upto 6 hours 48 minutes on 2G. In this segment too Samsung has the lead.
Cost: Samsung Omnia W I5830 price in India is ₹15,200 and Motorola Defy Plus price in India is ₹15,990.

Overall Conclusion: Except advantages of Android OS features and huge set of apps, Samsung Omnia W I8350 wins over Motorola Defy Plus. However it is my personal opinion considering the specs. Your feedback are welcome.

Overall Winner: In my view Samsung Omnia W I8350 wins over Nokia Lumia 710 by a narrow margin. This because of the front camera and better battery management and compactness. However one should not forget about the Nokia mobiles proven durability and Clear black  display. Decision is yours.

Setting up iPhone Tethering

iPhone tethering is nothing but using iPhone as a wireless modem to provide internet access to a WiFi enabled laptop or other WiFi enabled devices such as iPad or iPod touch.  iPhone tethering is enabled in iPhone 3GS or higher model which runs on iOS 4 or higher version of OS with tethering supported data plan. Normally tethering requires monthly data plan subscription along with standard phone contract.  Devices can be connected to iPhone while in tethering mode in 3 ways namely USB,WiFi or Bluetooth.

Tethering of iPhone:

• First step is to setting up personnel hotspot. Tap "Settings" icon in the home screen.  Select "General" and then tap "Network"
• In the Network setup screen, choose "Set up personnel Hotspot". This will be available when you are configuring for the first time. Later on it will display only as "Personnel Hotspot".
• In the Personnal Hotspot menu, slide the Personnal Hotspot Slider to "On". For changing the password, tap on to password field and edit it on the next screen.  Any one want to connect to this hotspot needs to enter this password to gain the access.
• Default mode of connection to your personnel Hotspot is USB. However as soon you turn on personnel hotspot, you will see a pop up which asks for Turn on WiFi and Bluetooth to allow for wireless connection. Tap Turn on WiFi and Bluetooth button to enable wireless tethering.
• You are done with setting up your own Personnel Hotspot. Now other device can connect to it.

Note:

• When other devices are using your Hotspot connection, you will see a Blue notification at the top of the screen or on the lock screen which indicates personnel hotspot is active. It also shows the number of devices using the connection.
• When you want to enable Personnel hotspot, Tap on to settings ans select Personnel Hotspot menu just under Aeroplan mode and WiFi .
