Comparison of Samsung Omnia and Motorola Defy Plus

Samsung Omnia W I8350 and Motorola Defy plus are the two models available in the market with slight difference in price. These two smartphones runs on different OS and different manufacturer. Below is the quick comparison between Samsung Omnia W I8350 and Motorola Defy Plus.

Comparison between Samsung Omnia W I8350 and Motorola Defy Plus:
Operating System: Samsung Omnia W I8350 runs on Windows 7.5 Mango OS and Motorola defy plus runs on Android 2.3 gingerbread OS. Samsung phone has the advantage of fresh look and good user interface. Motorola smartphone has the features of Android OS such as lot of apps to download, tethering, Hotspot functionality and many more.  In this Motorola has a more advantage over Samsung phone.
Display Size and Screen resolution: Both the phones same 3.7 inch capacitive touch screen. However Omnia has Super AMOLED screen and Defy plus comes with scratch resistant Gorilla glass.  Omnia W i8350 has a screen resolution of 480 x 800 Pixels and Defy Plus has FWVGA, 480 x 854 Pixels. In this both the phones are almost equal.
Processor: Samsung Omnia features 1.4 GHz processor where as Motorola Defy plus has 1GHz processor. In this aspect Samsung windows phone has advantage over the other.
Camera: Both the smartphone feature 5 Mega pixel camera with LED flash. But only W I8350 features secondary camera. Once again Samsung phone scores more here.
Battery: Samsung Omnia W I5830 is powered Li-Ion 1500 mAh battery with rated talk time upto 14 hours on 2G and 6 hours on 3G. Motorola Defy Plus is powered by Li-Po 1650 mAh battery with talk time upto 6 hours 48 minutes on 2G. In this segment too Samsung has the lead.
Cost: Samsung Omnia W I5830 price in India is ₹15,200 and Motorola Defy Plus price in India is ₹15,990.

Overall Conclusion: Except advantages of Android OS features and huge set of apps, Samsung Omnia W I8350 wins over Motorola Defy Plus. However it is my personal opinion considering the specs. Your feedback are welcome.
