New Tata Safari Storme Ultra LCV and ICV unveiled

Tata motors unveiled new model of Tata Safari named as Storme in Delhi Auto expo.  The new Safari comes with new styling, with bunch of new features and specifications.  The Storme has 2.2-liter 16-valve common rail (DiCOR) engine which produces 140 PS power and  320 Nm torque with a variable geometry turbo, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.It has clean, smooth lines which provides traditional corporate look to this new Tata Safari.The new features added are a new grill, projector headlamps and a 'power bulge' on the bonnet. The rear gets chrome-tipped exhaust and a new, half greyed-out tailgate with the spare tyre now underneath the SUV. On the inside, the Storme is more spacious and has new luxurious beige seats matching the leather-wrapped steering wheel and wood-accented dashboard and door trims.

New Tata Safari-Storme

Tata Motors also showcased its new range of Ultra LCV and ICV models. These models comprise a series of variants from 5 to 14 tonnes. The Ultra LCV and ICV will be powered by new generation 3-litre (140 PS) and 5-litre (170 PS) common-rail, 16-valve DiCOR engines, which gives higher aggregate life, longer service intervals and low NVH.

Another model displayed is Tata's LPT 3723. This is India's first 5-axle rigid truck with a payload of 25 tonnes. The truck is powered by a Cummins 6BT 5.9-litre engine (209 PS power at 2500 rpm) mated to a 9-speed gearbox.
 Tata Motors showcased several stunning new initiatives on alternate fuels including the Tata Starbus Fuel Cell Concept and Tata Paradiso G7 Multi-axle Coach.

Other interesting concepts showcased by Tata motors in Delhi Auto expo are  Tata Nano concept, the Tata Pixel concept, the Tata Indica Vista Concept S2, the Tata Manza Nova concept, the Tata Aria, AT concept, the Tata Sumo Gold and the Tata Xenon concept. Other commercial vehicles displayed are the Tata Prima 7548.S, Concept, and the Tata Prima 3138.K AT, the Tata Venture Ambulance, the Tata Ace Refresh and the Tata Super Ace (left hand drive).

Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 unveiled

The new Thunderbird 500cc bike launched in the 2012 auto expo Delhi. On the occasion of launching the Thunderbird 500, MD & CEO Eicher Motors Ltd Mr Siddhartha Lal, said that “When we launched Thunderbird in 2002, it was a one-of-its kind model on the Indian roads that redefined the cruiser segment. Today, with the launch of the Thunderbird 500, fitted with the UCE and a host of design enhancements, Royal Enfield has again upped the ante in leisure motorcycling which we have been pioneering for over half a century in India. With touring enthusiasts forming the core of our customer base, the Thunderbird 500 gives them more power, comfort and style for long-distance riding.”

The new Thunderbird has redesigned seat, new lock mechanism accessible through the side panel and true to its touring-friendly nature, it gets a separately mounted pillion seat that can be removed to accommodate luggage. The handle bar also modified to improve the bikes ergonomics, the pillion grab rail is also new and the bike also gets bungee points to tie luggage. All the new foot pegs, new design mirrors and the LED tail lamp now have the Royal Enfield logo embossed on them.
The Thunderbird 500 also comes with two digital trip meters which shows  track of total trip mileage and intermediate mileage.  Fuel tank capacity of this new Thunderbird is 20-litre. It got hazard lamps in the switch gear, which is a first of its kind for a motorcycle manufactured in India. Rear disk brakes mounted on the new oval section swing arm, supplied by Bybre, add to the stopping power of the bike.

The price of the Thunderbird 500cc is not revealed. This new Thunderbird will hit Indian road in the last quarter of 2012.

Tata Nano CNG and Nano with Disc breaks unveiled

Much awaited CNG version of  new Tata nano unveiled today in Delhi Auto show 2012. Addition of CNG variant will make this people car more economical and more Eco friendly. The release date of new Tata nano is not revealed on the auto expo. Speaking to the media persons, Mr.Ravi Kanth, vice chairman of Tata motors said that, even though CNG variant of Tata nano is showcased, the diesel version of Tata nano will take some more time to hit the roads.

New Version of Honda City launched

Honda Seil cars today launched new entry level variant of its flagship sedan Honda City's 6th generation  model for India.  This new Honda City car is powered by 1.5 litre i-Vtec petrol engine which produces max power of  118PS/6600rpm and max torque of 146Nm/rpm.
