Sony Xperia S is the first Sony's flagship ship smartphone in its Xperia range at least until the mobile maker launch 4G Xperia Ion. Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray comes with Bravia Mobile Engine  LED backlite LCD 3.3 inch display screen and weight of the phone is 100g. The sleep look with matte finish on the sides and back also embossed Xperia Logo makes this phone attractive. The screen has two arcs on top and the bottom adds more style to the phone.  The tactile feedback of the buttons feels good. However volume rocker could have been bigger. The microSD and SIM card slots are housed under the battery, so there is no hot swap feature for both sim card and microSD.
The phone is powered by 1GHz Scorpion processor with  an Adreno 205 GPU and MSM8255 Snapdragon chipset.  This Xperia Ray runs on Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread OS. The Timescape user interface displays Facebook, Twitter and other extensions as tiles which you can scroll through on the home screen. This looks good however functionality wise not so impressive. Screen response is fast and impressive but typing in portrait mode is little difficult as the screen size is small.
Sony Xperia Ray has impressive music play player.  The inbuilt speakers are based on Sony's xLOUD audio filter technology and sound from them is crisp and clear. The bundled headphone is not very good and has sound leakage.
